Living in Aspendale Gardens

Aspendale Gardens is a relatively new suburb, which grew substantially in the 1980s and 1990s. It lies just inland from Aspendale, bounded by Mordialloc Creek, Springvale Road and the Edithvale-Seaford wetlands. Wells Road is the major arterial running through the area.

Aspendale Gardens population grew substantially between 2001 and 2006, the result of continuing housing development in the area. With little land left for development in Aspendale Gardens, and the focus of development shifting to nearby Waterways, the population is expected to stabilise in the future.

Major features of the area include the Edithvale-Seaford wetlands and the Mordialloc Creek.
